The Islandia Sportfishing facility is located on West Mission Bay Drive in San
Diego, California.
Islandia Sportfishing offers anglers daily departures on Deep Sea Fishing Trips
off the coast of Southern California. Complete tackle shop, fuel dock and mini
mart facilities conveniently available.
Overnight Trips
Fish the Coronado Islands, the Baja Coast, San Clemente Island, and the Outer
Banks for best fishing opportunities. Increase the chances of catching bigger
fishes, which sometimes are only available, near the Islands. The Overnight
Outer Banks trip is the best for catching tuna (Albacore, Blue/Yellow Fin and
Dorado)
Full Days or Day Plus Half Days
Fish out to 135 miles on the Outer Banks trips. These trips allow for more
fishing time. Also the 2 Day trip allows you the fun of drifting or anchoring
on the fish, relaxing with the gang that night, maybe fishing for large Squid,
and then after a good nights rest wake up on the fishing grounds again!
1/2 Day and Twilight Trips
Travel one hour from the Islandia Sportfishing to the La Jolla kelp beds or on
south to the Point Loma kelp beds. When the kelp beds are not producing travel
farther south to the Baja border in search of Sand Bass schools or go north to
the Torrey Pines and Del Mar fishing zones. When surface fishing availability
is limited travel to coastal offshore and fish for Rockfish and Rockcod, which
dwell 100 - 250 feet deep.
3 /4 Day Trip
Fish the 1/2-Day areas mentioned above plus have the time to get further
offshore to fish for the migratory yellowtail and tuna when available. The
3/4-Day trip is a good in between for those who want more fishing time without
spending the night.
Whale Watching Trips
The Pacific Gray Whale Migration occurs off the coast of San Diego from Mid
December Through March.
